Smaaash – Bazinga The Bar

13th October 2014

Amidst the hustle bustle of simulator games, laser games, video games, you find engrafted, the bar at SMAAASH- Bazinga . No you don’t have Sheldon cooper here anywhere (I have thoroughly checked). The menu has enough choices to keep everyone happy having choices to pick from a long winding menu of Biryanis, Nachos, Tikkas, Pizzas, Pastas, Curry meals and Sandwiches.

What’s more – Thanks to virtual reality, play cricket with bigwigs like Sachin Tendulkar and Lasith Malinga. Also there is a fabulously lit bowling arena where you can enjoy a game with your group.

The décor is spaced out with comfortable sofas. There is another separate section having proper tables and chair seating. With a very pleasant demeanor, we were served with a smile. Chef Tarun Shetty guided me through the menu and suggested the best picks which was of great help.

A look at some food that I sampled.

Mushrooms stuffed with Cottage Cheese – The saucy crunch of the mushrooms surrounding the softness of the creamy cottage cheese makes it for a great snack. Surely a great grub between your beers.

Chicken Pizza – Not sure whether Thesaurus echoes this but pizza is synonymous for happiness. A game night or a round of beer with friends is usually never complete with some pizza by the side. The chicken pizza I had was decent enough. The pizza was nicely loaded with toppings on a normal crust.

Frozen Kiwi Margarita – I believe with enough margaritas you can do anything! Sip in style with this beauty after a round of bowling.

Sausages in Oriental Spices –  these were sausages in an oriental coat garnished with black peppers and coriander. Not really up to the mark and I suggest you give this a miss.

Papad Cones – Papads are always delectable and they are like a playground for innovation. Twirl or roll or fold – At the end, it offers you a crunch that you relish. This tweak was papad folded into a cone and filled with a lovely filling of masala corn, beans and chopped veggies.

Beer – All pints at 150/- till mid October.

It is quite an ideal place to be if you want to coalesce your boozing with some activities after a tiring day.

Time – 11am to 1am.
Location – Kamala Mills Compound, Gate No. 4, Lower Parel, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400013.
Phone – +91 (022) 4914 3143.
