It went beyond the conventions and launched itself as an luxurious ice cream brand synonymous with pleasure and sinful decadence. There can never be too many choices as far as ice cream goes right? I was invited to attend a special Master Class conducted by Janice Wong – two time winner of Asia’s Best Pastry Chef and creator of edible art and Fritz Storm – Barista champion and Coffee king. So basically the perfect duo who could do perfect justice to their respective domains.
Fritz Storm brewed some discussions immersed in the world of coffee, selection of coffee, its production and how to create the perfect brew. Chef Janice Wong spoke about the wonderful goodness of chocolate, creating fusion deserts and her devotion to chocolate art.
Janice Wong showed what magic she can do with chocolate – From the frothiest chocolate mousse in less than 5 minutes to a bolder experiment of Chocolate Chilli Mousse paired with Coffee Soil, Honeycomb and Purple Flowers.
She expressed her excitement stating,
“Chocolate and coffee is a match made in heaven. It’s literally a sweet salvation that teases your senses.”
Fritz Storm gave us some really great insight into the coffee making processes and whipped us some amazingly great things with coffee! From a classic Espresso to a combining champagne with coffee, he covered it all.

The audience couldn’t agree more.
Coming to the showstopper for the evening – The decadent Magnum Choco-Cappuccino. We all bit into the new Magnum at once and the room was filled with lovely crackling sounds followed by involuntary mmmms. These were all that echoed for a while.
Magnum Choco-Cappuccino is made up of creamy vanilla ice cream, infused with swirls of smooth cappuccino sauce covered in thick cracking belgian chocolate coated with sweet crunchy pieces that deliver a distinctive ‘crack’ with every bite. If that does not start a party in your mouth, I don’t know what will.
The amazing Masterclass session ended on a spectacular note with all of us creating a customized Magnum inspired sundae made by fusing rich belgian chocolate and aromatic coffee along with different scrumptious toppings like coconut, cardamom, honey and mint sauce.
